Mel is an accountant and small business owner from Crown Point, IN with a long history of using her experience and expertise to bring the best results for her clients.

After graduating with a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Indianapolis, Mel worked in the public accounting sector for many years. During this time, she graduated from Maryville University with her M.B.A in Accounting. In 2012, her journey led her to Crown Point, IN where she continued her work in accounting focusing on the private sector in real estate.  It was also during this time that Mel realized that the needs of the small business owner for accounting services were abundant, and she started her own accounting services firm.

Even with her ever-growing client roster, Mel works hard to ensure her practice remains a family and friend-oriented firm. She prides herself on personalizing every service the practice provides and building strong, lasting relationships with her clients, so they always feel supported.

Mel lives in Crown Point, Indiana with her best friend and significant other, Bryan. They have a blended household with 3 beautiful children, Eli, Lily and Ty. Mel has a passion for running. If she is not at the office or with her kids, she will most likely be found training at STRIDE Crown Point for her next big race. In 2024 she completed her 4th marathon and qualified for the Boston Marathon in 2025.
